Available Positions

Position Title: Registrar

Contractual: 2 Years

The University of Karachi is seeking applications from qualified and dynamic professionals for the position of Registrar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in institutional management, human resources, and organizational development and be ready to contribute to the University’s strategic goals.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

• A First-Class Master’s Degree from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized institution.

Experience

• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in Grade 17 or above, or an equivalent position, in a recognized national or international postgraduate educational institution.

Required Expertise

• Proven track record in multidisciplinary roles such as:
  • Organizational Development
  • Institutional and Personnel Management
  • Human Resource Management
  • Statutory and Regulatory Affairs
  • Public Relations and Resource Mobilization (including infrastructure development)
• Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to inspire and lead teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 62 years.

Key Responsibilities

The Registrar will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the smooth functioning of the university’s administrative and operational processes.
• Ensuring compliance with institutional policies and governance frameworks.
• Leading various departments, including HR, to drive the university towards excellence in all facets.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to facilitate academic and physical infrastructure growth and development.
