Career Opportunity: Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer

The Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, is looking for a skilled Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our ICT team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the software quality and reliability of our systems. As an SQA Engineer, you will work closely with developers, implement testing strategies, and provide a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly review project requirements and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools like Selenium, Appium, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of both manual and automated quality assurance principles.
• Identify process bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
• Conduct testing across web-based applications and ERP systems.
• Perform both white-box and black-box testing.
• Write clear and detailed test plans and test cases.
• Automate testing procedures based on product needs and prepare testing reports.
• Document and manage issues using bug-tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution.
• Conduct performance and security testing to ensure system reliability and compliance.
• Collaborate with developers to enhance QA processes and improve efficiency.
• Manage documentation for internal and external audits.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager(s).

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of a BE/BS (4 years) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance.
