Undergraduate Scholarships for Students of Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan invites applications from outstanding Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA students for undergraduate scholarships. These scholarships aim to provide opportunities for higher education in HEC-recognized public or private sector universities and degree-awarding institutions in Pakistan for the academic year 2024-25. Scholarships are available for all areas of study under the project titled “Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for Students of Balochistan & Erstwhile FATA (Phase-III)” Batch-III.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be 22 years of age or younger on the closing date of the advertisement.
- Both the applicant and their father are required to have a valid domicile or local certificate of Balochistan or Erstwhile FATA, verified by district administration.
- Completing 12 years of education with at least 80% marks in FA/FSc/ICS/DAE or equivalent is required.
- Applicants already availing of any other HEC or government scholarships are not eligible.
- Required academic qualifications must be obtained before the advertisement’s closing date.
- Students awaiting results are not eligible to apply.
- Those already enrolled in general bachelor’s programs may apply for the scholarship.
Important Notes:
- Scholarships will be awarded based on merit and district quota.
- Shortlisting will be based on the Aptitude Test score conducted by the Education Testing Council (ETC) – HEC and the evaluation of academic credentials.
- A minimum of 50% marks is required in the test.
- The scholarship and reserved seats distribution ratio for Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA applicants is 50-50.
- Placements on reserved seats will be on open merit within the selected scholars.
- PM&DC eligibility criteria, regulations, and rules will apply.
- Students already enrolled in Medical/Dental Colleges and Engineering Programs will not be considered for reserved seats but may be considered for scholarships if they qualify on merit.
How to Apply:
- Applications must be submitted online via the HEC website: HEC Scholarship Application.
- Ensure attested copies of CNIC, domicile (applicant’s and father/guardian’s), and educational documents are uploaded.
- Hard copies of applications and documents are not required at this stage.
- A non-refundable test fee of Rs. 500/—must be paid through a 1Link 1Bill invoice using participating banks, ATMs, or mobile banking. Follow the provided instructions for payment and verification.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- HEC reserves the right to postpone or cancel the scholarship process at any stage without providing any reason.
Application Deadline:
Last date for submission of online applications is October 07, 2024 (Monday).
Tentative Test Date:
The test for Undergraduate Scholarships (Batch-III) is scheduled for October 20, 2024 (Sunday).
