The Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat (FTO), located at 5-A Constitution Avenue, Islamabad, is a public sector organization that ensures transparency, accountability, and fairness in tax-related matters across Pakistan. We seek highly qualified and competent individuals to fill various contractual positions. These roles are crucial to the FTO Secretariat’s ongoing efforts under Section 20 of the FTO Ordinance 2000.

1. Advisor
   • Maximum Age Limit: 65 years

     • BS-20/21: Rs. 250,000/-
     • BS-22: Rs. 282,000/-

2. Assistant Advisor
   • Maximum Age Limit: 50 years
   • Number of Posts: 01
   • Fixed Monthly Salary: Rs. 150,000/-
   • Place of Posting: Islamabad
3. Assistant Advisor (Accounts)
   • Maximum Age Limit: 65 years
   • Number of Posts: 01
   • Fixed Monthly Salary: Rs. 150,000/-
   • Place of Posting: Islamabad

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

• For the position of Advisor:
  • Retired BS-20/21/22 officers from the CSS occupational groups, preferably from the Customs/Inland Revenue Service.
  • Experience in handling Customs/Income Tax/Sales Tax & Federal Excise matters.
  • At least 20 years’ experience in Government/Semi-Government roles, preferably in tax policy or administration.
• For the position of Assistant Advisor:
  • A graduate degree is required.
  • Preference will be given to those with 6 weeks of Basic IT Training, including proficiency in MS Office.
• For the position of Assistant Advisor (Accounts):
  • Retired Accounts Officers from AGPR/CGA Islamabad.
  • SAS/PIPFA qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and 6 weeks of Basic IT Training will be advantageous.

Age Limit

• Advisors: Up to 65 years
• Assistant Advisors: Up to 50 years

Job Type

All positions are contractual, initially offered for six months to one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance. These roles are being offered under Section 20 of the FTO Ordinance 2000.
