PEDO invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the positions of Project Directors for its ongoing and under-construction hydropower projects, including the “300 MW Balakot Hydropower Project” in District Balakot, the “69 MW Lawi Hydropower Project” in District Chitral, and the “Rehabilitation of 17 MW Ranolia HPP” in District Kohistan. These positions are project-based and offer competitive, market-based salaries.

Available Positions:

1. Project Director (BPS-20) – 300 MW Balakot Hydropower Project
   • Number of Posts: 01
   • Qualifications & Experience:
     • At least a 2nd class Bachelor’s Degree (16 Years of Education) in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical) from an HEC-recognized university and registered with PEC.
     • A minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Engineering, Project Management, and Implementation, including 03 years in a senior management role (BPS-19 or equivalent) in hydropower projects.
     • Basic knowledge of Project Management fundamentals, particularly the Government of Pakistan’s Project Planning and Management procedures.
     • Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications in the engineering field or relevant experience in hydropower projects.
     • Age Limit: Maximum 63 years as of the closing date of the advertisement.
2. Project Director (BPS-19) – 69 MW Lawi Hydropower Project & 17 MW Ranolia Rehabilitation HPP
   • Number of Posts: 02
   • Qualifications & Experience:
     • At least a 2nd class Bachelor’s Degree (16 Years of Education) in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical) from an HEC-recognized university and registered with PEC.
     • A minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Engineering, Project Management, and Implementation, including 03 years in a senior management role (BPS-19 or equivalent) in hydropower or other engineering projects.
     • Basic knowledge of Project Management fundamentals, particularly the Government of Pakistan’s Project Planning and Management procedures.
     • Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications in the engineering field or relevant experience in hydropower projects.
     • Age Limit: Maximum 63 years as of the closing date of the advertisement.

Instructions & General Conditions:

• Applicants must complete the “PEDO Applicant Data Form,” available in the Download Section of the PEDO website, and submit it with attested copies of all required documents, including experience certificates, an updated CV, a CNIC copy, and two passport-sized photographs.
• Applications should be sent to the Director HR/Admin, PEDO, at the given address via a registered courier service by the closing date, 26th September 2024.
• Applications submitted by hand, received after the due date, or found incomplete will not be considered.
• Mark the position applied for on the subject line/envelope, and submit a separate application for each post.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews, based on the selection criteria approved by the Board.
• Government/Semi-Government employees should apply through the proper channel. Age relaxation may be granted according to government policy.
• Current PEDO employees in similar roles must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the CEO PEDO.
• Positions are contract-based, renewable annually based on satisfactory performance until the project’s completion.
• Applicants must have a domicile in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or the merged areas (erstwhile FATA).
• PEDO reserves the right to adjust the number of positions or cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
