GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT
The Agriculture Department of the Government of Punjab invites applications from eligible candidates domiciled in Punjab for recruitment on a contract basis under the Punjab Resilient and Inclusive Agriculture Transformation (PRIAT) Project (2022-23 to 2026-27), financed by the World Bank and managed by the Directorate General of Agriculture (Water Management), Punjab.
Available Positions:
- Project Director (PPS-12)
- Number of Positions: 01
- Salary: Rs. 600,000 per month (with annual increments)
- Age Limit: Maximum 60 years
- Qualifications & Experience:
- 18 years of education in Agriculture Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, or Water Resource Management from an HEC-recognized university.
- At least 20 years of experience in on-farm water management, irrigation, or similar fields, with proven leadership skills.
- 5 years of experience as a Project Director or Manager in relevant development projects.
- Deputy Project Director (HEIS & Solar) (PPS-11)
- Number of Positions: 01
- Salary: Rs. 450,000 per month (with annual increments)
- Age Limit: Maximum 60 years
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Water Engineering, or a related field with a minimum 2nd division.
- 15 years of relevant experience in agriculture and water sector projects, especially high-efficiency irrigation systems.
- Familiarity with World Bank and government project guidelines.
- Audit & Taxation Specialist (PPS-9)
- Number of Positions: 01
- Salary: Rs. 250,000 per month (with annual increments)
- Age Limit: Maximum 45 years
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, ACMA, or a related field with a minimum 2nd division.
- 5 years of experience in audit and taxation management, preferably in the public sector.
- Horticulture Specialist (PPS-9)
- Number of Positions: 01
- Salary: Rs. 250,000 per month (with annual increments)
- Age Limit: Maximum 45 years
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing, or related fields.
- 8 years of relevant experience in horticulture, agricultural value chain, or regenerative agriculture.
- Agricultural Communication Specialist (PPS-9)
- Number of Positions: 01
- Salary: Rs. 250,000 per month (with annual increments)
- Age Limit: Maximum 45 years
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Communication, Journalism, or Media Studies with a minimum 2nd division.
- 5 years of experience in developing and implementing communication strategies.
- Female Trainer (PPS-9)
- Number of Positions: 02
- Salary: Rs. 250,000 per month (with annual increments)
- Age Limit: Maximum 45 years
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Work, or related fields.
- 5 years of relevant experience, with knowledge of government and donor gender policies.
- Assistant Director (Technical) (PPS-8)
- Number of Positions: 02
- Salary: Rs. 175,000 per month (with annual increments)
- Age Limit: Maximum 40 years
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Water Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in donor-funded projects.
Important Notes:
- The contract appointments are non-transferable, job-specific, and non-pensionable.
- Initial contracts are for one year, extendable based on project duration.
