The Centre for Aerospace & Security Studies (CASS), Lahore, invites applications from qualified Pakistani nationals (Male/Female) on a contract basis for the following positions:
1. Senior Researcher
Qualification/Experience:
- M.Phil/PhD in Space Studies, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Warfare, National Security, Strategic Studies, Economy, International Relations, Aerospace Power, Nuclear Studies, or Peace and Conflict Studies from an HEC-recognised university.
- 8-10 years of experience in research, academia, or think tanks.
- Strong analytical and academic writing skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Preference will be given to candidates with at least 5 research papers published in Web of Science or HEC-recognized journals.
2. Editor
Qualification/Experience:
- PhD in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, or Public Policy.
- Over 10 years of proven experience in academic or think tank publishing, with a strong editorial background.
- Exceptional editing and writing skills with a keen eye for detail, clarity, and coherence.
- Familiarity with academic publishing standards, including peer review processes and publication ethics.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Conversant with HEC rules and regulations regarding journal, magazine, and compendium publishing.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, reference management software, and Turnitin.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the think tank, with a passion for advancing public policy discourse through rigorous research and clear communication.
3. Researcher
Qualification/Experience:
- M.Phil., Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Power, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Warfare, National Security, Strategic Studies, Economics, International Relations, Public Policy, Nuclear Studies, or Peace and Conflict Studies from an HEC-recognised university.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Zoom, fact-checking, and reference standardisation.
- Skills and aptitude in research and report writing.
- 2-3 years of experience as a researcher and preference for candidates with publications in national or international journals.
4. Web Designer
Qualification/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognised university.
- Mandatory qualifications in graphic design or web design.
- Preferred qualifications in Digital Editing, Video Editing, Citation Analysis, and Text composition/Formatting.
- Proficiency in InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Experience with publishing tools, including headlines and art packaging.
