Vacancy Announcement

In line with the directives from the Government of Punjab, PDMA Lahore, applications are invited for the following position on a contract basis for a duration of six months:

Position: District Disaster Management Coordinator (DDMC)/Consultant

Location: District Rawalpindi
Contract Duration: 6 Months (No claim for permanency)
Gender: Male/Female
Age Limit: 30 years (with a general age relaxation of 5 years as per Government of Punjab civil servant rules)
Domicile: Punjab

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational Qualifications:
    MBA/MPA or a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Agriculture, Disaster Management, Rural Development, Urban Development, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Disaster Management.
    • At least 5 years of experience in a related field within any public/private sector, NGOs, or development projects.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Provincial or District Government or public sector roles.
    • Experience in conducting field surveys and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
    • Demonstrated ability to perform multi-hazard vulnerability risk assessments and implement disaster risk reduction techniques.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in using desktop applications, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
    • Strong communication and active listening skills.
    • Capable of facilitating discussions and articulating solutions effectively.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
